Late Limits 7/3 & a destroyed rod

Darn computor picked up one of those POPUP virus things even with all that Micah put on it :FU:

So this will be quick... Fished the 15/54-56 area with the fleet. Had Jeremy and Humble one Don onboard...
Great run out there... had limits by 1400 and left them biting. 4 fish in the 18-20 range the rest were 25-35.

Nice grade of Albi right now! Pictures to follow. Ran out of beer cause Jer forgot to bring his share.. But ended up trading 2 18# fish for beer with a 55' livaboard on the way in at the 9 mile bank.

Everyone have a great fourth... will post pictures and the story of a destroyed Seeker Blacksteel in a bit...

Here's the rest of the story

Click the image to open in full size.Click the image to open in full size.Ok, heres the pictures.... 2 35# albacore...

And my toad that busted 3 guides from my Seeker Blacksteel...

I had my 25# rod with a Penn 975 in the holder while I gaffed one of Dons fish, it goes off, so I put it in gear and the fish wraps around the prop and takes off... I try to clear it and the rod get bent up under the motor and looks like it's at a 90 degree angle... When I pull it out 3 of my guides pop off...
Now I'm down to my spectra backing .. but the fish is still on, 1 more flick of the gaff on the line and it's free... with the fish still on!!!!!
Boated my biggest of the day... the 35#'s seen above...

Guess this rods heading back to Squidco...
