Red face 7/2 Friday Fish Report "Stray Cat"

Had the pleasure of fishing with Tom Drake and his 35' CABO -

Caught the usual alberts with a couple over 25 lbs. Won't bore you with all the numbers as the fish have already moved 20/30 miles north west.....very exciting grey bite - some boats started fishing around 5am and got bit.

We started at 31 53 x 117 49 and ended up at 21 10 x 117 46 courtesy of Bob - "Lucky Bill" who called us in on a bite.

Beautiful Day on the 390

Fished Aboard the "Stray Cat"

Owner Tom Drake

Father-in Law Bret

Good Friend Bob

We had a great day with all the other boats - enjoyed the ride -

Good job John, that area was holding alot of fish that really came to the boat well. I was decking for Jeff on Old #7 when we saw you out there. Went back out yesterday and had to move N/W about 17 miles to track down the school, but we finally did and nailed em again . Was it a little more relaxing to be a ride-a-long rather than taking your own out? Nice change of pace.

John

Great talking to you Friday night, thanks for the info, we blazed our own trail, but your pointer about the night bite, "be there early" stop on marks, sure paid off bigtime, kudos to ya!
