Just the tuna virgins eat the hearts. The one guy on the last trip liked the heart so well that when another one fell out and onto the deck he picked it up and ate it! Wierd things happen on the deck of "Just Keep Fishing".
The music at the end of the video is Russian. It is about a young man that the family is trying to stop from going somewhere. They are worried he will be ruined by his destination. Kind of like a tuna virgin on his or hers first tuna trip. Forever ruined for life and constantly asking, "Whats a salmon!"

Cool vid and congrats on the Albies. However, I don't understand why someone would free gaff a shark they had not intention of keeping.

Sometimes the tide will be low enough that the Coast Guard will close the entrance to larger boats. Then the reverse can happen and the swells will close it to smaller boats. But overall it is a good place to leave from because there is no "bar" since there is no real river. Only a small stream.
As to free gaffing the shark! He was after our tuna, we are bigger, we did not want just part of a tuna, I think he got the point! I am sorry if it hurt your sensibilities to do this. I feel no shame at having the guys do this and would do it again. But I respect your right to be concerned about it!

Way to go on the catch. Nice looking weather throughout the vid. Better Albie fishing up there? Not sure about that. I'll take So Cal. Beautiful weather, Women shave their pits, and we can gte live bait whenever we want it.

You do have better weather and more variety of fish and yes the live bait can be an issue. Washington has no limit on tuna,Oregon is 25. We do get live bait in Illwaco and westport. I believe we have been much more consistent on the albies though than you guys south. Many years when you are getting none we are still getting them. But I suppose that our time will come!
