No BS-- Finally good albacore sign

Albacore action started perking up on Friday with a few 10-25 fish scores. Yesterday saw a major improvement with the whole fleet getting steady action on albacore. I think everyone was off the main body of fish in the early A.M., so I think it could have been much better than what transpired. Nonethelss, there were steady short stops mid-morning and mid-day. There was a little mid-day lull, but they gathered up into nice schools by late afternoon. There were numerous 10-15 fish stops in late afternoon, even though the bulk of the schools that we saw were not quite ready to bite yet. There were more than enough fish for everyone to have 100+ fish days, they just haven't quite settled in yet. I have very high hopes for the guys on the grounds today. Unfortunately we were on a 1.5 day trip so we are not on the grounds this morning. Fish are 18-25#- beautiful early season fish.

We ended up with 41 albacore- there were a few scores up into the low 60's. It is time to go- they are here.

All the action is well within one day range. We have one day trips tonight, and Tuesday, and I just added a 1.5 day trip to fish on Wednesday. The weather is flat calm and bait was beautiful. Grab a few friends and come fishing tonight. Give Pt. Loma sportfishing a call @ 619 223 1627 if you'r interested. BTW we need 10 guys to go- so make reservations- I'm sure it will be a light trip.

-Markus
