My dad Joe took the Galaxsea out today with 3 friends that included Bill Markle. I punched #'s in the gps last night that included towards the San Clemente Buoy some 39 miles out and a spot NE of the butterfly. I also had them head back east on the way in the outskirts of the 302/226 areas.
They met in Lakeside at 4:30 am and were underway by 6am. They ran out to the the San Clemente Buoy area for starters and were looking for paddies about 10 miles before that spot. To sum things up, they ended up one Yellow Fin Tuna and a dodo for the day. Joe said that lost something real big on the troll that could been a big tuna or a mako. Bill went onto to say he lost a big dodo on one of the paddies they hit. On the way back in they got their long dodo where alot were swimming around...but these dorado had lockjaw. This spot was near 3224 X 11742 - this is the same spot where wildcat got em yesterday. The yellowfin came on a jig strike northeast of the Butterfly Bank on a purple/blk Zukers feather. Joe and Bill reported nice flat calm seas today...so at least my 77 yr old dad didnt get beat up. Good going guys, I'm glad you made out on such a nice day.
