| 9/3 Drove right past the fish
Nick (FishinNick) took me out on his boat today (Fishing Rose) and our plan was to go outside. We left O'side at 5:00 AM and headed to the 181. We stopped on several paddies out there, clear blue water but no signs of life on any paddy (tons of bait that is all). Was a little rough and wind kicked up pretty good out there. While we are out past the 181 get the call from Adam that the Yellowtail are WFO 1 mile out of the harbor Hit several paddies with lots of bait and no fish except for a Marlin charging my mac at a paddy twice but he did not eat it slap: Cool show anyway! Came in after the Yellowtail bite was dead. Nick caught a legal hali off the golf ball but it busted the line and escaped from the net :104167739 just wasn't our day.
For those headed outside we saw no life today, no birds, whales, porpose, nada and the water was cold.

Did the pier swim today and the water was nice and warm. Plenty of bait so stay inshore for them Yellowtail.
Little bit of surf coming up but no wind at noon...
Watch out for lightning if those T-storms come west.

I have never seen so many boats at one spot. Every sporty boat, 50+ private boaters.

Not sure how I missed this thread. Between Last Sunday with Stan and Friday/Sat of this weekend with my bro, we burned about 100 gallons...and they end up a mile out of the friggin' harbor!!! Unbelievable. Sometimes it's about putting in your time, and sometimes it's just plain dumb luck!
I'll take the luck any day. Good report. See you tonight, Joe.
