Short version left O'side straight to 181 area found lots of paddies just outside and south, fooled one paddy to thinking we came from MB by my approach scored six Yellowtail with 5 lost

in less than an hour before we ran out of bait came home.
Longer version:
Met Paul and Mark at O'side 5:30 AM with plan to go to 181, 289, and 43. Got weak sardine/chovy mix that was more chovy than dean. Beeline it for the 181 extremely flat big rollers. Get to 181 only one paddy close empty. Start for 289 hit breaks with long lines of shredded paddies parts/pieces loaded with bait no fish. Decide to make macs as most bait has rolled only a few good swimmers. Paul made macs pretty fast, had we known, shoud have made more. Start toward the 43 and see paddy twice the size of my boat, birds all over it and diving like mad. Get to the paddy and dodos jumping all around. Tried everything but the sink but no go

used up quite a bit of bait. Went 3 nm south found smaller paddie 1/2 size of my boat. This paddy was loaded with Yellowtail as soon as the bait hit the water it was devoured. Since we had only a very few baits left every fish was a must keep at all costs. Third fish ties up in the kelp, we back into the kelp, run it over and over, gaff it, cut the kelp to get line out and gaff the fish

Paul/Mark see 25+ Yellowtail under the paddy about 40 feet. We think it is over. Set up for anothr drift and as soon as the bait hits, bam we are hooked up again

Three more fish before we run totally out of bait, boy were we glad Paul made macs. Tried irons and trolling the paddy for no more. Sounded tough out there for most boats, but got the skunk off today. Called No Limits (Papa J) in and they gave us some bait (thanks, kinda tricky in today's conditions) but no more paddies on the way home, the wind had picked up and a pretty good swell but we had an OK ride home, third day is a charm!
Had a great time , here are some pics of Mark, Paul, and fish. Added video of Lake Pacific as we cruised at 22 knots
