8/5 238 area

got our wiring problem all fixed up so we were off on the hunt again yesterday. talked to a couple guys that went out friday and it sounded like the 238 was the place to be. left the dock around 430 saturday morning and headed over to mikes for an awesome scoop of dines and a pass of mini macks. set a course for the 238 along with every other boat out of the coral. smooth ride all the way out. got out there to find the weater a little cool and paddys very hard to come by. worked south looking for warmer water. didnt see any life south, so we inside and north. finally got a troll fish around 10 on the cedar plug. another nice big female dodo. little smaller than last week but still nice fish. everyone was having a hard time finding the paddys so we decided to get away from the fleet and head north. worked up towards the 385. found the warmer water here. around 11, nick spots a small paddy. slide up and right away my dad goes bendo. fish goes stright down and wont stop. dad buttons down the drag a little to try to slow him. little bit later, zing pow, fish farmed. as we are pulling off the paddy we see some dodos boiling, so we slow troll some dines around and get hit twice and both nick and my dad manage to farm both. kept on searching and around 1230 we found the right paddy. absolutly loaded with yellows and dodos and they wanted to chew. got easy limits of both and C&Red a whole bunch as well. the yellows and dodos were all in the 8-15# range. nothing huge but still a lot of fun. ill get some pics up tonight once nick emails me the pics

Saw you guy,s fueling on Sat. We fished inside of you about 8 short of the 238. Found the bigger yellows on a small paddie and the dorado 200 yards off the paddie. Seem like everyone were in such a rush to get to the banks that they did not look short. Had the ocean to ourself and all paddies were holding. Only boat traffic was people full throttle going to the 238 or returning. Easy limits with mackeral caught outside of the corral.
