Sea Adventure 80

Short post here, had a 1.5 day on the Barnacle bill charter on Dolphin 2 Sunnite-TuesAM, called off at last minute due to poor fishingDeath_To_ and bad weather . Oh well, I was in the mood to fish, gear packed and my Denis eknows I am bummin, so she said go hop on another boat, so i call and H&M tells me that is the only boat going out (not true, but thats later) so I haul butt to the landing, jump on and see that the boat is pretty nice, crew seems good, captian Scott McDaniels sounds like an alright chap, bottom line FISHING SUCKED, not for lack of trying, just SSLLOWWWW:104167739 :104167739 but the food was great, only 18 on board, so we ran 50 down on a 181 heading, just no fish on the hook, lots of meters, jumpers birds, but the total came to 10 yellows, 2 albies, 2 Blue Fin Tuna, and some bones,. Yours truly farmed 2 yllows, thanks to light line and FNG's on the rail, oh well, lost another tuna (probably, sounds good) and landed a fat Bonito. All I can say is the foood was great, beats working and except for just about breaking a leg doing my super cool bow jumping on a big wave (I am not 25 yrs old and I AM 40 lbs heavier ) the trip was relaxing, oh yeah 10-12 foot swells was kinda rough at times, hard to spot kelp.
Cool thing on the boat all meals included and Hank can COOK IT UP!!!!!! About the TG80, when I got to the dock, it turns out they WERE going out, I just assumed it was for a 3-5 day, didn't bother to ask (this is the boat I always try to get on, bob and crew are great, fish hard and Denise likes them and the boat ) When I got to the dock this morning, imagine the surprise when I find out they were on a 1.5 day run and Edgar tells me they killed the PIG yellows:cwmdie: That pissed me off, nothing against the Sea Adventure 80 or the crew, i just don't like the fact that H&M BS'd about the boats going out.gunz From now on, I will do a little more investigating before handing over the $$$$. problem is you book by phone and hope you are getting the scoop, oh well beats working.

Lot of slow fishing in the nasty weather right now, at least you got to pull on a few fish.

Re: Sea Adventure 80

For the record it was a combination of poor fishing and bad weather forcast that caused the cancelation of the trip, If there was somthing to shoot for we would have dealt with the weather, the thing about charters is that we try to be honest about what the conditions are and not beat people up for no reason, It was a mutual decision between greg and the CM. this early in the year its better to reschedual a group if possible. From the crew of the D2 sorry for the inconvenience, hope you didint hurt your leg to bad and glad you made it out on the water anyways.

Re: Sea Adventure 80

Yeah,

I was just psyched to fish, so even a boat ride for $240 bucks was worth the price of admission! I used to get paid as an OS in the merchant Marines, on tugs, to ride and tow, oh yeah to do do stupid stuff like see who could catch the most air in the bow! Well I won on this trip, the old guy next to me sat out and just shook his head as I jumped for 12' and crashed and sprawled all over the deck, I know let's have contest on the next trip..... yeah right.
