20 miles outta oside

Left oside at 0515 with my g-friends pops who's not much of a fisherman but he's a good guy. Headed towards the 181, stopped on some small bush for nothing, Found a monster paddy about the size of a tennis ball court. fished it hard for 30mins let another boat slide in, and about 20 mins later he gets a 8lbr on the yo yo. Water temp was 67.7. I wasn't paying much attention to my g-friends pop just focusing on this monster paddy, than I look over my shoulder and uh oh his eyes are closed and his bait's wrapped around the prop and he looks like he's gonna hurl. After a couple of more drifts he's gettin worse so I called it a day. Trolled a Rapala on the way out and 10 yards from the paddy whamo, I'm thinkin yellow, but one five foot jump and oh yeah mako. Fought the guy for 20 mins get him next to the boat and he went for one last burst and broke me off, so if ya guys catch a 100lb mako with a rapala in his lip he's the one. Stopped on one more paddy on the way in and got a 30 lb blue shark. Home by 1230 oh well I'll be out there in the morn with some guys who don't get seasick. I'll be on 72 boat name whacker.

Re: 20 miles outta oside

I've left a couple of hood ornaments on the makos as well while trolling, I think they like the jewelry- good luck manana!
