| Another Sport Boat Jerk
So we were anchored on the Huntington flats today and the sport boat Enterprise is on a drift and their stern is headed right for us. The deck hand (jerk) gunz is on the bait tank yelling at us for us to get off his stern. slap: We yell back "we're anchored!" He yells back that we are not too bright for anchoring and "get off our stern" Then they start throwing jigs right near us.
I guess if you hit a parked car - it's the parked car's fault.
What an idiot.
Fish report - A bunch of big slimers - a few big bonita and a 27 lb WSB landed by a neighbor Kevin - on a orange and clear plastic.

More of this BS. If those moron's try that with me and I am there, anchored prior to their drift, the CG better be inroute (yes, I'll be calling them) 'cause if I take a jig while my kids are on board, I'll be standing on the bow attempting to leave but they'll be looking down the barrel of a .45. I consider this a threat to life and limb and will treat it as such. If you think I'm wrong, you can demonstrate it's not by letting someone fire jigs at you. Any of you deck hand types should pass this along because I assure you, I'm not kidding. This stuff is straight up BS.

Now, on the same note. If you slid in on there drift then it's a different story completely.

Dude! It's fishing? right? I don't get it. The guy fling'n the jig is commiting a felony. I'm not looking it up but I'm pretty sure it'll be covered under the felony/murder rule. Which means if you assualt someone with a deadly weapon, they defend themselves by shooting at you, someone else, completely unrelated get's shot and killed, the jig flinger in liable for MURDER! I'm not talking about my boat getting hit. I can fix the gel coat all day long and charge the asshole skipper for repairs. I go out there to feed the addiction and RELAXE. Big reason why Sunday is a day for departure and not fishing. I also stay away from the pack. Think about it. What would you do if your neighbor fired 9 oz's of metal with a treble hook attached at 60mph AT YOUR KIDS? It's a deadly threat situation.

This stuff is why if there are fish at 30 miles and the same fish at 100 miles, I'll do the 100 miles. Eliminates some of the moron idiots. I don't understand a captain willing to endager a life for a drift.

Your right Dayle, I totally agree that the captains need to do something about this. It has always blown my mind how idiots on mostly 1/2 & 3/4 day boats will fire off jigs at people on another boat. Someday somebody will be seriously hurt and god forbid worse.

Jack | The skipper did tell the customers "don't thow at them (us)" But he should talk to that idiot deck hand or fire him. Quote: |

Not to defend a dickhead sporty, but I have never actually seen jig hit a little boat, or kyaker,or any other boat in 18 yrs fishing here in sandiego, while I have been on the sport boat and had 8oz sinkers hit our boat multiple times from disgruntled little boats in lajolla. luckily none of our passengers was hit but the whelhouse gel coat now has scars.
If you were on anchor before he set up on his drift than you have all you need to file a complaint, however if you set up down swell of him and droped anchor, than be honest you did screw him. Not that that deserves jigs thrown. multiple boats can pull drifts on a high spot until one boat( usually the sporty) anchors up and now no one can drift the high spot.
the point of my reply is that if you were endangerd you need to make a report to the landing otherwize the sporty will countinue bad behavior
