Local reports from the BAD guys, with the sportboats fishing at 95 to 110 miles the Bad guys stayed below and waited it out. For the good news, with the full moon here the seiners can not work at night. Like I said those guys are not that good. However, fish are reported to be jumping at about 20 to 30 miles at a time. With the sporties tossing bait, it CAN hold the fish in the area that they fished this past weekend, which can be bad news because that alone can make the fish stay in the area, where the seiners can wrap em. Local plane report, good signs/fair signs in and around the 60. These are just signs, as in looks fishy should start up in time.
Fish that are hitting the market tables are still 25 to 40 pound range. Kelp patties seem to be the key right now, holding good yellows and meter marks of Albies, and Blue Fin Tuna on the outside deep. With the fuel cost at 4 bucks plus going up, It is coming, hold on save your fuel.
