| UPDATE REPORT LOCAL BANKS
I,m not trying to be the bad guy here, just a guy with inside dope on whats going on at the local banks. The Bluefin market pens are filling up as we speak. Off of (Spell check) Ah-sun-tion right now there are 16 seiners fishing that are from mexico. Fish range in the 20 to 30 pound size,
with sets made at 30 to 50 tons when they can get em. Fishing is from 15 to 30 miles of the beach, which might mean the sportboats need to check the inside line and not run so far outside.
Albie rumors are still holding true with GOOD REPORTS of miles of sonar marks, few fish being taken however the fish are there, just deep. Soon grasshopper, very soon.
reports from 200 miles out are scrachy at best, but when the guys on the far outside dont talk, it means only one thing. Stay tuned... spool up and good luck.

I remember the name to be something like Assenction (spelling not). I used to fish on the seiner's. Local blue fin is usualy done at night. Do you know what size fish they were getting. I do not remember fishing blue fin this early in the year, but. Most seiners are going out for yellow fin but Mexican flag seiners have a advantage flying under Mexican flag. Most of the crew would be from Mexico. Usualy the skippers are from San Diego. This was about 20 years ago. Not sure who is fishing out of Ensenada. Hoefully the yellow fin start showing around the cape or off of South America, maybe they will move south. It is a big ocean and I do not think the seiners have fished out the tunas. Think positive.
