| 450-500lb Swordfish at the 371
Just got off the phone with Brian-midnightrambler, he hooked a 450-500lb Swordfish at the 371 today 8/23. He hooked it on a 6/o circle hook with 60lb test and a nice dine on it. He fought it for 7.5 hours and his line finally broke. He asked me to post this as his arms and thighs are tore up. WTG Brian......... Another boat that was in the area took pics of him fighting it and came up and gave him his gaff as well......

What a bummer it broke the line, those swordies are the meanest fish in the water. Can't imagine pulling on a fish that long. Great effort & thrill.

man would I like to beat on the head of one of those mean bastard fishies! Guess ya need to find a smaller model sunning on top next time. Glad ya at least got to play tug-0-war with it for a few hours....too damned bad he didn't get his miserable ass drug into the boat to meet Mr. Fishbilly.
