MAW somebody shoot me!!

Short story:

I fished on Bobaloo with Frank, Hil, and of course Mike.....

Two jig strikes that came unbuttoned..............One seemed nice??????

The biggest Marlin I have ever seen SW of the 390 on that big plume of warm water..........

Spooled us in under 3 minutes...........

My fault, as I was at the Helm and did not chase down the fish quick enough..

More short story :

Headed to the Bell on Friday night, made it to about 16 shy of the numbers before one crew member

We turned down swell a bit at that point and ended up fishing the temp break from the Airplane all the way up to SW of the Coronado's...

TRAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrat's to NO LIMITZ CREW............

SMOKEY ON SALTY BALLS HAS GIANT NUT'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They went to the Bell in the 22' Center console

12 miles short of the BELL bank we took a big one over the bow.....8 footer??

Met WILDCAT at the weigh in........Stoked to meet ya....

Saluki is a funny guy.............

Kevin, stoked to meet you again brother and congrats........

I am very happy that everybody made it safely and had a good time...

Also cool to meet ya DIVE DEMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice talking to Heather LYNN 2 , Whippet GOOD, Tony on DIPPY', Salty Balls, Knot Now, No Limitz, and all others,,,,,

Going to Bed before I fall asleep on the keyboard...

A special thanks to Mr. Renner ..Laukia for loaning me the sat phone................

A day of Memories Curtis, for sure. As you said it was a great day for all just returning safely. The fund raising was a giant success, which was what it was all about.

"I am very happy that everybody made it safely and had a good time..."

My thoughts exactly. Glad your family came through the hurricane safe and sound, Curtis. And thanks for that killer marlin lure.

We also had a marlin hook up, although briefly. Long enough to get a good look at him which was the highlight of the day. We fished on the inside just above the lower 500. Couple aku's and a dorado that came unbuttoned other than the marlin strike.

This was my first MAW. Really an impressive tournament. Thanks to Eric Reynolds from Carlsbad for getting me in and fielding a crew. These guys fished hard, stayed in the tower straining their eyeballs and never gave up. Next year........

Too bad on that marlin, sounded like a nice fish. Would have loved to see pics of that. Great you made it out the next am to try for more fish.

Glad you made it down to the MAW banquet. Always good to see you.

Happy everyone made it back safe!

Re: MAW somebody shoot me!!

Thanks to all reply's......

I am leaving in a couple of hours to drive to Texas as it turns out my grandfathers house is in pretty bad shape, and his best friend passed away when his generator burned out,,,,carbon monoxide poisoning.......At least he did not feel anything..

I am renting a trailer from U-haul to take with me for cleanup help.......

Anybody have a 5 by 8' or 5 by 10 trailer they might rent to me instead....

Could use an extra chainsaw as well........

See you guys next week
