Butch was one hell of a great captain and a great friend. Our prayers go out to his family members. We have all lost a great role model in the sportfishing world. Joe and Pete

Chris,
It was a great place to spread wonderful memories about a good person and great captain. I too have great memories of working with Butch and the friends we shared. His adventures will live on in us. RIP Butch.

| We'll remember Butch, Bill recount the ordeal.....
Give me a call and we'll tip a few before the radio show at Peabody's Encinitas (11/1/09).
Cptn Chris will be on the Rod & Reel Radio show this Sunday evening starting at 6pm, am540 S.D. & am1260 L.A. We'll make sure we mention Burch's as well a Capn. Bill's passing.
Also Mick Coy will on to talk about the ordeal he and Lawman had down towards Rosarita Beach last weekend and what kept that trip from being much worse than it was.
See you Sunday evening,
Hopalong

Sorry to hear about Butch. He and Capt. Ron gave me a chance to go back to work after having been gone for a while. Both of them are gone and will be missed. They say you can't go Home...............seems that it is changing so much..........I guess you can't. Well guys have a drink at the pub and give a last call for Butch. R.I.P.

Great Captain. He always put you on the fish on the Cherokee Geisha. Started fishing on that boat many, many years ago when Bear was the cook. Sorry for the loss and hope Butch has tight lines in heaven.

More bad news as I am leaving the office at 2 pm to attend Myrons burial (MV Mustang)at sea this afternoon on the boat holiday (crap) and I just got done shopping for the burial at sea for Butch this Sunday. Respect your friends because with the drop of a hat there gone and I find myself wishing I would have said something more than hey Butch whats up the last time we spoke and he shook my hand and went his way for the last time for ever!

Thanks Randel
God bless BUTCH
I fortionatly met butch through pete lopacola God bless pete also. Butch was a construction worker who knew absolutly nothing about boats or fishing . I got to
know Butch real well. He was a good Friend and he will be missed. I personaly watched the transformation from construction to sportfishing Capt . We had some
hilarious moments, along with some pretty serious times also. Butch is one of those
people who etched my soul and will always come to mind and never be forgoten.
Thanks again Randel
