Thank you very much for the fascinating look into the life of a creature that makes my world go round. All of the time we spend blindly pursuing these fish through open expanses of sea, knowing that if we find one, we'll find thousands, and now seeing their "plots" is amazing.

I've always wanted to understand where they go and what they do but I also worry about how small the world has become. Thank god I've lived during the golden age of discovery because soon there will be no place to hide.

Steve

THANKS FOR SHARING!

Cunningelk...

Absolutely fascinating. Thanks for sharing such an informative and well-written post with your fellow fishermen.

Also, the $500 reward (now $1000) should pay for your next fishing trip. Lucky Dog you! Plus you had the satisfaction of knowing you made a real contribution to the knowledge of fish migratory behavior. (only three tags recovered out of hundreds.)

I'll be looking out for tags too from now on. Recovery of these tags are really important. It's nice to know that recreational fishermen play such a vital role in retrieving tagged fish that are so important to fishery science.

Thanks and congratulations.
