Cool stuff. That one website shows them diving down 300m during the day. That's nearly 1000 feet - deeper than normal op depths of submarines! I need to get a better fish finder...

Way cool info! Surprised that they only tagged fish caught up North. Why not tag some caught down off Mex or SoCal? Not surprising that they swim down 300m. In the warm water off Kona I have metered them at 40-60 fathoms. Chummed them up to around 20 fathoms to catch em during the Nite time.

Great Post!! If you ever get a chance to go on a tagging trip GO! I did one back in 02 (I think) might have been 03. Did a 10 on the Royal Star with Dr. Kirk Schaffer from Scripts + his team. What a riot tagging fish you have to try it at least once.
