Went outside ensenada on saturday 11/29 and put some fish on the decks to cristan my new boat. We started trolling about 20 miles straight out towards some high spots. 1st hookups were on a small kelp paddy about 8 ft/ in diameter. Each pass picked up some baby yellowtail, which we only took 5 and then continued on our plan. After getting outside we started to run a ridge line south,and about 9:30 AM picked up our first Yellowfin.
At this time we were heading down towards the lower 500 but still 25 miles north of there. After trolling further south we decided to spin back north past where we picked up the first YF. We got one more on the troll, both in the 20lb range and headed back in. Great first day wetting a line on this boat.

Excellent trip. I made a run last Tuesday with similar results. I really like the design on your Luhrs. Are you going to keep your boat in Ensenada?
