ALL U Want YFT Has A Price 10-4

Short story. Need to sleep. If you're planning on going long, I would wait a day or 2. The weather sucked. It took us 8 hrs just to get half way home. It was rough mixed up towards Colnett. We fished outside Colnett for a few Yellow Fin Tuna, Dorado and rat yellows. The goldmine was south of Colnett, all you wanted Yellow Fin Tuna rat yellows and a few Dorado. We fished on the edge of the high spot. As soon as we trolled there, it was nonstop Yellow Fin Tuna. We were lucky and found a kelp that was loaded with all you wanted yellows and few Yellow Fin Tuna mixed in. If you want exact numbers, I will share them, need to get them from the boat. It was around 18 miles south of Colnett on the edge of the high spot. Be carefull. It is nasty there right now. We also caught a few Yellow Fin Tuna outside the finger bank on the way home towards PT Loma. The weather from Pt Loma to the lower finger is nice. South of that is where it got ugly.

When we got there the weather was ok. But it only got worse as the day went on. It was nasty for a 30' boat. The weather the day before was flat. We thought we could get in and get out before it got bad. I thought wrong.

Hey..I was on that trip and Jeff, you forgot to mention the larger grade Ahi type were just 17 miles south of the South Island...Fewer fish but a bit bigger.... I'm still a little sore from doing trampoline tricks in the V-berth. Thanks for inviting me, Jeff. It was a kick. You have the eyes of a tern!! jp
