Bettina, Andrew's, wife was the one that had the run in with the Great White Shark on the back side of Catalina, back in June. She was in her Kayak when the shark hit the Kayak and threw her into the water.

Karl and Joe were on the boat Topless and Shea and I were in our 19 boat, Fishjunky. Both of us saw the attack and were in a good position to help out.

Karl and Joe in were the ones that pulled Bettina out of the water.

Bettina was untouched, obviously a little shaken up. She is an amazing woman to keep her composure during the whole event.

While this whole thing went down Andrew and the kids were watching it happen. Their 50 ft Mikelson was anchored a couple hundred yards away. Without a doubt the scariest thing I have ever seen im my life.

This trip came about when Andrew invited us all out as a thank you for being there on that day.

Warren,
The episode of Inside Sportfishing that airs this weekend, Sunday on Fox Sports West, references how we all met and does have a little footage from the day it all went down. We actually had the camera's with us the day of the attack. With all the commotion we didn't get any footage of the Attack. We were more in rescue mode than film mode.

We got some pretty good footage from the fishing trip a few weeks back. Watching the kids fish for the big tuna was awsome!! We caught most of the Tuna on 20lb test.

Local Yellow Fin Tuna and great company,

Gotta Love It!!

Here is a picture of Karl Joe and myself, really roughing it for the weekend.

Thanks again to the Pereira's for an unforgettable weekend!!

-Eric

FYI
The smoked tuna came out great!
Joe TLC's bacon wrapped seared Ahi was on Sundays menu.
It was a great trip, and a great crew!
Maybe we can get together and chase some bugs next!

KP
PS, Joe's fish was a bluefin
