267-277-152-Avalon & Back

Tough trip all together. Left Dana about 6:30 and raced to get out and passed all the lightning. Was glass for about a half hour until it steadily increased all day. Had no intentions of going to avalon but after we get to 277 to find 67 degree water no life and no paddies and a 3-5ft south swell mixed with a 3-5ft west swell less than 7-8 seconds between and 25 mph winds - we decided to go take cover (a little much for a 19ft c.c.) Hit up the 152 for nada and then went to avalon to try our luck on some bonies and some of the bottom type- we caught a few, it was okay... Thought avaoln might be protected but not really.. swell was coming into the harbor.. ended up staying the night, pissing off the wife and making it back this morning... water was down a little so I hit up 152-277-267 for no life again! No mammals - nothing on paddies, water was cold. the warmest water was 3/4 between 277 and 267, towards the 277 but not on it. Ocean sat down for a great ride back in... 30mph the whole way! After the last couple trips i forgot my boat went that fast!

It was brutal but still better than work!

Hope it helps
