I really do appreciate your posts and even though I am a little tired I just had to get this one on the same day...Good luck to all and one tip is for the 209/181 leave the trolling rods at home and you'll have more room for bait sticks!! | thank you! that is considered by me to be on the fish of a lifetime species list. that's way too cool bud.

Hey Scott,
What a great catch. Many anglers have been fishing a lifetime and never caught one. Now you need to run to Vegas. Looks like a nice time on the water especially when you and your son catch fish. Your son will always have fond memories of the day I was fishing with my dad and we caught a Opah! He's turning out to be a good Mahi killer. I wish my dad would of let me play hookie from school to fish with him when I was younger. Enjoy a great tasting fish of a lifetime. Now are you glad you did not fish the local kelps!

Hey Jimmy, You were right when you said I was going to have a good trip soon...truth be told I was skunked three trips in a row on the mammals/Yellow Fin Tuna with only one hookup. Then a friend told me about this Flourocarbon stuff...now I'm hooked on it. Thanks to all and it will be in the smoker today and I'll reply with results. Thanks again, Scott

Scott,
I started using it this year with braided lines and I can say that I would not go back to only mono except for trolling or jigging. I really noticed the difference with Calico's. Great to hear you did well. I think the next couple of days are going to be very productive for the group with Wednesdays weather looking very calm. Smoking, yum, yum especially with the different types of fish you caught.

Water temp was 69.3-70 for most of the day...not sure at that location but somewhere in there. Paddy wasn't huge but it was big enough to get our attention. No birds on it though and unfortunately the boaters I called in didn't get any of the remaining dorados but that's why its called fishing. Our trip before this was a skunk but it was still a great day on the water but I'd like to see more days like yesterday...Apollo out
