8/06/08 31# Yellowtail on a Bass Rod?

Yup that's right! Penn asked us to do a little testing on the new Sargus Low Profile baitcasters and we sure did. On our way to the 302 we stopped on a paddy (32.33, 117.35) and fished it till we ran out of bait. We caught 7 yellows, 1 Albacore and 1 Dorado all on Sardine. Head out find a paddy in this general area and you should be rewarded with a day of pulling on hungry yellows. Check it out.

Nice Yellowtail, what size line were you using on the Sargus Low Profile?

What lb test were you fishing?

Do you have a Honda outboard on that boat?

Nice fish. Good job. I only have penn on my boat, but thats because I thought they were made in USA. But I like them anyway. Got a 30# Yellowtail on 14# suffix mono and a penn 975. It was luck mostly.
