7/19/08 Albies, Bluefin, and a Dodo.

First, I should have mentioned that we did this all on Nate's Long Run.

It was an awesome day out on the water. Weather skeptics were wayyyy off. It was nice and it even got flat on the back half of the day.

We stroked them today!

13 Albies (mixed troll and bait)

6 Blue Fin Tuna (mostly on bait)

1 Dodo (troll)

We had some great long stops with them boiling at the boat!

Awesome bait today, Thank you Joey!!

3115 11741

Quad strike while the Capt was on the deck taking a dump in a bucket. That was some shitty fish there.....
We heard that Senor Jefe (48' Viking) was ON THE FISH ALL DAY LONG! Yeah, he drove into the tuna pens and was stuck....He called the coast guard, the Mexican Navy had to come....I can't wait to hear the entire story and outcome, I bet he got a big fat ticket for that.....

Looks like a great day - one of the best seen yet for a PBer. Too bad the fish are still 90+ miles past the point. Let's all keep praying they move up!

We were at the bottom of the 1010 trench, 90 miles from the point. Yeah we didn't count right, make that 14 Albies. We left last night, we saw an Osprey getting fuel, maybe that was you ( watch-n- learn) at the ramp being fueled by a red pickup truck??? It looked like you were slippin it and not going out. The day was beautiful. It was a little rocky in the early AM hours, but it got really nice around 11:30 ish....that is when our bite blew up.
