9/6: San Juan, Escarpment, 311, Navy Bone

Fished out to 110-miles offshore and all we could find was a lifeless, worthless, desert. Green water everywhere we turned and no significant sign, bait, marks, or birds. Did bait some bigger Blue Fin Tuna on a small paddy chasing micro-baits that would not go. That's it. Burned 135-gallons and covered nearly 300-miles. fish?: The boat ran like a champ but we get chased off the San Juan just 4-miles short of blue water (per 9-06 clorollyform Noaa chart) by a Navy P-3 O'Ryan !!!!! Traveled 110-miles offshore and we get stopped a mere 4-miles short of the break More of the same. Heard the slug albies are north of the Cortez. Can anyone help with coverage in this new area? moorefish@hotmail.com

good try!

Hey there Mike!

Good effort; that's a friggin' long haul. I'll bet those were Blue Fin Tuna also; they are showing up more and more on PB scores out of SC and Half Moon.
School is back in session so I'm teaching more and back to weekend warrior status, I'm afraid. Was thinking about towing to Cruz this weekend and looking from the 601 to the Guide but it's looking windy.
