Post OAC Thresher shark tourney May 9th
OAC members our thresher shark tournament is Saturday May 9th this year. Remember this is a members only tournament where entries are by boat not angler. Only one retained shark per boat however a released shark cannot win the tournament and all releases count toward club points. Attend the club meeting Tuesday night for all the details. BTW I hear there may be some T's around.

This is a member only tournament and you can earn points toward boat of the year and angler of the year for releasing a thresher shark of 2 points. The club also throws in $250.00 toward the pot for first thru third place winners. Club points are also awarded to First thru fifth place. The rules are explained here:

can sum1 explain how a released fish can win??? a rules boat measures it or something..? I'm all for preservation..well not really..but I think thats fuckin stupid..

Released fish cannot win the tourney but will receive club points towards Boat of the Year.
