Eureka albies

7-1-07 was a beautiful ocean and albies wanted to play. Furthest fish was 40 miles and closest was 25. Most fish in 60 degree water.
Went out last night and made enough anchovies to fill the tank for today and made the run. Went out with friend Jim on Desperado and headed SW. Ran all over the place from due west of Eureka to the Cape.
Scored 20 peanuts and 1 walnut that was over 25 lbs. Half the fish came on the troll and showed no preferance except for the Rapala Xrap green mackerel. Other half on live chovies. Fished 20 lb with a 1/2 ounce slider and 20 lb flouro. The weight helped to put the pinheads on the boils.
Still early and more to come. Have to work tomorrow, but A LOT of people are going to take advantage of the big lake and albies.

Triple on bait. Little, but fun stuff.

Peanuts don't pull as hard, but less mercury and a lot easier to clean. Plus more of them fit in the cooler! Good times.
