04/14/07 - Had the itch again so I grabbed my gear and hit up the usual haunts of my apartment bass @ 11:30 last night. Wasn't finding or seeing em like I usually do so I made some casts to spots, mostly in front of tule/lilly pad edges. Made a 40' cast with the Storm Rattle Craw Tube in front of some lily pads and felt some dead weight, set it and SHE WAS ON...I had to walk her down the shore to suitable landing area and 20 secs later I swing up what I think is a NINER. Got a few other short bites that I missed and then I flipped out in front of another lilly pad edge and missed a good bite. Came back to the same spot after I had tossed out a flylined crawler in about 20 mins. This time I was ready for her and even feed her some line after the initial tap-tap. The slack line shot up and tightened and set the hook home and swung up a fat 7 onto the grass. Here are the shots of my SOWS.
