last weekend dropped gear on frieday. with no bait. Headed out saturday in 25 plus knots of wind and 14 ft swells. Baited up the shallow string (25 fathoms) and tryed for deep string but was met with more wind, like 30. lol. Got one crab in an unbaited pot lol. Hopped on Mattushs boat (Dad doesn't like rough shit, I don't care) and headed back out. Wind had increased and swells were closer together. Turned around due to someone splitting there chin open.
Sunday went out with pops and pulled shawllow gear for kinda shitty resualts so I moved up and out, then went to rebait the deep string (37 fathoms) and had a crab and a half per pot average with no bait!!!! Came in and within 2 minutes of getting off pops boat was on Sleeters boat, headed out and pulled more gear for 3 limits. Then came in and got on the NCP and dropped all of his gear.... Partied thurs, fri, and sat.
Did a lot of gear work since then, getting ready for the commercial opener. We were on strike then bodega fucked us.
