| Eureka salmon
There's been a great bite on the 47.500 line from 200' to 450', the best bite was out deep with lots of 20+ pound fish taken.
Here's one from yesterday that weighed in right at 20 on the DFG scales that's destined for the smoker. |

Nice work there Jan.
Ron had a customer 2 of the days I was up there and we got his fish at the 3 mile line. Hope there is at least 1 calm day when I get back up there and we can make a Redding Rock run.
Looking forward to getting back up there next weekend. -JIM

Jan,
Nice fish. I used to enjoy that whole area. Do you know Tom Timmer? Hes a good friend of mine. We commercial fished alot together and I think hes out of CC now but used to love to crab the beach off Trinidad and Mc Kinleyville. I think at one time he told me he was the constable. Have a good one.

I had so much fun out there that I went out again today (That's four days in a row) I got one close to 30# and a little feller at 20#.
Got sone drag burned today and some serious jumps out of these fiesty fish, all taken on the Apex watermellon with the echip.
Great fishing, too bad it ends soon.

Jan, you're killing me! I'm stuck at work and you are out slaying them. I did get a few casts off the north jetty yesterday, just trying out a new reel. We saw balls of anchovies moving around. A couple of sea lions and birds were working them. We didn't get any takers though.

Way to Go JAN
Great to see you getting out on the water.
I've been out every day this month too now that the wind is going to blow for the next few days I can look at Bloodydecks and catch up on my reading and maybe post a few Pictures.

Great looking fish there Ron and Jim.
It's too bad we are getting this wind and lump during this already short season, I guess the bar was at 9-10' for a while today and the winds are predicted to go 35-40 here and there, definitely not my kind of fishing weather for my little skiff.
I need to get up there and get a punch card for launching and start hunting Lings.
