Hi-vis top shot???

Sorry about posting this thread on report board but I wanted a good amount of exposure especially on the west coast.

I decided to try using hi-vis line on my out/center riggers rods this season. I do not need to replace all the line on my reels as it is only a year or so old. I figure a top shot of hi-vis is the way to go.

Does anyone do this and if so how do you install the line? How many yards of hi-vis/top shot??? What knot do you use to join the two lines??? Ect. ect.

I am thinking of 150-200 yards of hi-vis and a Bimini twist/Albright knot combination to join them.

I have all 50 TW Penn reels spooled with 80lb Ande

Lou

Re: Hi-vis top shot???

That should be fine for top shots. I used the Penn hi viz line for trolling last year. Even though we had a crappy fishing season it really helped track & watch the lines in the water. But my reels are filled with the hi viz, no connections. But Bimmini to Albright should be fine. or even Uni to Uni.

Even though we only pulled 4 lines at once I could see how it can really helps when we start to pull more.
