Well, at least Mavericks will be breaking .

Sorry about the weather Jan, us NorCal types suffer the North Pacific and the windows it offers for fishing. Crab season is always notoriously dangerous with a couple of commercial vessels lost off of Half Moon Bay in recent years past.

It always makes me annoyed when the SoCal pansies are complaining about seas they would consider "a little sloppy" when it's 2-3 feet and no wind cause I guess they got their blow dried hair wet...

I'm pretty bummed also but we'll get a chance soon enough. The Eureka bar is going to be pretty fuckin impressive though.

Be safe. A year ago, almost to this day, some guys died trying to pull their pots in hmb during one of the largest swells of the year. I was up there helping a family member move and from the deck you could see closeout sets breaking over a mile off shore. The Harbor Master boat (which looked tiny as it went over the swells) as well as jet skis looking....a real tragedy, but very avoidable. Just remember the crabs will be there on the flat calm days we get in the winter too.
