Morro Bay Pacific Queen

Boarded Pacific Queen Friday evening after previous group of anglers came off the boat. Heard it was a late afternoon bite. They had traveled to the donut then moved closer to around 30 miles where they caught most of the fish around 5:00 PM. After boarding, Bill talked to our group of 23. Said the plan was to go to the same area and start trolling at grey light. Loaded bait of mixed sized sardine with anchovie mixed in. Started trolling around 6:30. Slow fishing of ones and two with no bait fish till afternoon. White tuna clone and cedar plugs got bit best. Around 4:30 fish decided to bite. Called it a trip around 7:00. Finished the trip with 21 albacore to 25 lbs. Smaller baits and flurocarbon worked best. Would like to thank Bill and the crew for another great trip on the Pacific Queen. bosco

The Pacific Queen went out today (sunday) and ended the trip with 43 albacore and 1 bluefin. The numbers keep going up for the Queen, according to Virg's Landing, they are going out just about everyday until they move out of the area. From the looks of it, Bill is starting to get em dialed in. Looking to get out there very soon!

I had a friend on the Saturday trip w/ his two sons. I saw a photo album of about 70 pics and it looked as if they were keeping you all entertained during the slow times. I will also say that it appeared that the Pac Queen deckhands were really watching after the kids.

Good to see the Pac Queen back in Morro. I took my boat out Sunday and we stopped at 17 albies to 40-lbs.
