Fishing Report 08-02 Gumdrop Albacore

Fished the area within a few miles of the Gumdrop today for 4 fish all about 15 lbs (all singles). Seemed like a slow pick for most boaters, although someone on the radio claimed around 15 fish trolling between the Gumdrop and Pioneer Sea Mounts. Flat calm where we were fishing, a small bump close to shore but nothing serious.

Thanks Tom for the report. Hope to get out for some tuna in the week. Wish we could get a good SST report.

We were started between P. canyon and the seamount around 9am with a single then a double within the first hour then headed SW for a while for nada tacked towards the Gumdrop and out NW a few miles for a five banger around 1.30 pm. two on feathers one a fly rod and two a silas 4x iron end up with eight for the day .
