| 1200 Pound BFT - Some Pix
I just got a call from Dennis Braid. He has been up in Prince Edward Island the last few days fishing. He caught and released an estimated 1200 pound Blue Fin Tuna in stand up gear!!!
He got some great video footage and pix. They had a diver on board that got some incredible video footage...
Stay Tuned....
Part 1 - These are pictures of freeswimming 1000 pound Blue Fin Tuna they took the first day.

I got a voicemail from him last week.
"Ali, call me about some 1000# Blue Fin Tuna."
I couldn't get back to him for a couple days. Now I know why he wasn't in when I called back.
NICE WORK AMIGO. That is a massive animal, especially on stand up gear.

Almost unbelieveable, but meeting Dennis and listening to his techiques and use of physics and applied force aquatic behemoths can be bested by knowledgeable landlubbers. Well done Dennis! Taking stand-up to epic heights.
Any idea the length of the battle? What it was hooked with (bait)? Lbs. of force set at strike?
Again, incredible...fantastic job.
