Hi All:

I just heard today that two Blue Fin Tuna over 1K have been taken in the past ten day off Chatham. Anyone know who took those bad boys.

Was supposed to be on board tonight for canyon trip but weather has cause a post till the am.

Nice fish. But I hope they don't refer to that as "fishing." It looks like several different souls took turns cranking on a hand operated winch made by Penn, attached to a flexible crane and propped up in a so-called rod holder. HARVESTING is more like it. It looks like the violated just about every one of IGFA's rules of the game. Of course, they weren't fishing for records - unless it was a record payment. But it is still a nice fish. However, everyone should look at it carefully for in a few years there won't be any left to look at - let alone catch, harvest, or whatever it takes to get them to the Tokyo fish market.

I'm not to big on the rod holder thing, but to each his own I guess, but I sure would rather see guys give it their all and do this standup and without handlining..... still very impressive, and those pics bringing it into the boat.... wow!!! Pretty cool.
