Again great photos:

As for stand-up on giants .....I truely believe the modern stand-up gear
useing short powerhouse rods and Accurate or Avet monster drag pressure reels one may apply just as much pressure and apply it faster in stand-up gear. The new bucket harnesses that let you load a rod to extreme pressures literally by sitting slightly. Once one becomes comfortable and secure using this aparatus you would wonder why they ever used fighting chairs. Can you imagine the pressure on your lower back when 800 pounds
of Blue Fin Tuna get some leverage against you and bends you forward in a chair !
Stand-up gear, lets of today's design lets you mutiply your leverage angle and uses your body's weight instead of back strenght and arm pressure.
One thing is for sure though....you better have alota line and bad azz strong hooks. Few fish can pull as hard a a Giant Blue Fin Tuna. I would give the swordfish the hands down tug a war title but they got the big tool out front to help out also.

Man that Giant is picture perfect on the deck there . I wondered if the iron was used because how clean the fish was. Beautiful catch Hope your buddy get his grand someday. Tough thing to do in a fleet of boats though...
