Castro's Camp Trip June 19-20th

Club member Sam Lunde will lead a group of club anglers down Baja to Castro’s Camp, which is just north of San Quintin and about four hours drive from north county. Although this area is known for great bottom fishing, spring months can offer yellowtail, white seabass, and barracuda as well!! The plan is for anglers to travel down by car leaving San Diego near mid-day on Monday June 19th to fish the day of Tuesday June 20. We will spend the night at rented cabins near the main fish camp and panga launch area. Several local restaurants are available for the evening meal. Fishing will be done from skiffs with 3-4 anglers per boat. If you are interested in going please let us know so we can try to arrange for rooms and boats before we get there. This is a fairly cheap trip; boat = $140 (split 3-4 ways), cabin =$30 (split 3-4 ways), + gas and meals). Come to the meeting (May 31st) for last minute details or contact Sam at 858-337-2551 or Chuck at 760-420-0054. Let’s go fishing!!!!!!

Re: Castro's Camp Trip June 19-20th

Since every trip needs a trip leader, he chooses the day and date of the trip. Since Sam owns a restaurant he fishes mid-week. Even though it is a mid-weeker it seems like there were about a dozen or so interested hands when he brought it up at the meeting last month. So I think it will be a good one. You can't make it, huh?
