Moving to Alaska

I have been doing alot of research about moving up to Jeaunu Alaska. I have my mind set about selling my home here, putting it on the market sometime in August, and then going up there to find a place to buy. I have found great home prices in Jeanu, in the Valley, which is close to Juneau Harbor. I have been doing alot research in this town, history, weather, population etc...

has anyone ever been there? and if not you really need to check out this link, it is the most!!!!!!!!!!! shows very secluded areas and fishign lakes etc.....I think it is one of THE MOST beautfil things I have ever seen......JUNEAU ALASKA

also, you can check out VIRTUAL JUNEAU

I seem to have a love for this place, even though I have never been there.
Even though, So Cal has been good to me, I think I need a change of pace.....

I have had 2 losses in the last 3 weeks, my boyfriend decided he was a JERRY SPRINGER GUEST CANDIDATE, and the most terrible thing, I lost my dog of 13 yrs.
She was like my child. Kind hard to change a routine you have, after 13 yrs.

R.I.P. SYMBA......I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU, AND I KNOW YOU ARE LOOKING DOWN ON ME WAITING FOR ME TO TAKE YOU "BYE BYE"

SO, now that I am single, and my best friend is gone, I have nothing tieing me down here in socal, so, ALASKA HERE I COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanna get together will you great BLOODY DECKERS, and have a fairwell fishing trip, I will let you all know when and where, it won't be until sometime in the end of Sept, or beginning of Oct, but i want all of you to come....

Terri

Terri~

Sorry to hear about your dog, as I too went through the same thing not to long ago, and I had to take him in and have him put down! Damn it, talk about tough! Sorry about the other deal too.

I have been to Juneau briefly when on a cruise about 6 years ago or so. What can you say except alaska itself is just totally beautifull!! Juneau was very bitchen!

I have a ton of admiration for what you are about to do, and wish you nothing but the best of luck! Im envious, as I am getting a bit tired of all the BS that is happening to California. I love this place, but its slowly (make that quickly) losing alot of its charm! I have been here my whole life and feel I have done just about all that I need to here, and I too sometimes feel the need to just get up sell the house for a HEFTY profit, and start somewhere new. It just sounds kinda exciting to me anyways. Problem with me is, I cant decide just where it is I would like to go, plus it has to be a mutual thing with my wife.

Good luck to ya!!

The unknown fisherman :p

Terri, Ditto on what Sean, Mike and Mike said, go and don't look back, your young enough to make it work, All the good luck and enjoy. Wish I could do something like that, but I've got to many ties here.

Sorry about your dog, mine (9 years) sleeps with me every nite, so I know where your comming from.

Keep in touch with us and let us know whats going on with you.

Forget about the guy, he wasn't worth it.

Thanks you guys, it is a long shot for me, but with my fishing industry background, i am figuring I can get a job with the dept of F &G , or do something for the state as a fishing and wildlife tech. It is gonna be a change for me, but i will always remember the great memebers, I have met Shelly, my bestest human friend, Jason, Brad ZZZZ and a few others, of Bloody decks, and hell, now you guys have a place to stay if you travel up to Alaska,

I am devistated by the loss of my dog, and as for the boyfriend, there is better fish in the sea, no pun intnded, some of you have met him, he is a cool guy, but has issues, although a great fisherman, he is a lousy boyfriend.

My dog is the main reason I am leaving, I guess you can say I am running away, but shit, why not??!! I lived in Cali all my life too, born and raised, but like ??fisherman says, Cali is taking it's toll, and I am not ready to grow with California, anymore, I lead a simple life, and I am not into all the HOO HAW, that Cali has anymore.

Thanks Verm, for your concern about my Symba, and I do indeed need to start a new chapter, a happy one,

Like I said before, now you guys have a reason to come to Alaska, to visit me, free room and board, and THE FISHING!!!!!!! :FU:

Terri

Terri how many months is it nice to go outside in Juneau? Do they have sunlight 24/7? I had family that lived up there and loved it. Great bear hunting and fishing. You won't be going anywhere. I'm sure they have internet up there!

Terri, to lighten the mood , maybe it was because of your "yellowtail dance" you kept doing on the last Red Bra charter....

As I recall, you outcaught him 4 or 5 to ZERO...... Probably felt his manhood threatened....

Great photos on the link you pposted, by the way...
