This is Lizzy. Our best guess is she is Aussie Cattle Dog/German Shepherd mix. She was born on Easter so she's just 5 months old. She weighs 35 pounds.
Here's a pic of Lizzy & Dingo.
The previous owners didn't know what they were getting into when they got the pup (Aussie Cattle Dog owners know what I mean!

) for their kid, who quickly lost interest. They couldn't potty train her & had no time for her. She was living on a chain & they were ready to take her to the shelter. I couldn't bear to see that, so...
We are fostering her until we can find her a good home. The new owners will need a big fenced yard, be familiar with Aussie Cattle Dogs & will need to be willing to devote a lot of time to this little gal. She deserves it. She's been with us a week now & I will tell you she is just bursting with love and is VERY eager to please. Oh yes. She MUST be spayed.
Her potty training is progressing VERY well. Any issues she might have had are gone. She's not 100% yet but we've only had her a week.
Her leash manners are very good for a pup that had had zero training. After I showed her what I wanted she fell right in. She's a pup. She is still easily distracted.
Kinda early to tell, but she seems to get along well with our other two dogs. When she & Dingo get to playing it's Katy Bar the Door!
Truth be known, I'm am NOT in a hurry to get rid of this little gal. We have two dogs already & my brain sez 3 dogs are too much. My heart sez different, tho. I am totally in love with this dog. She is special.
