Ok, I have been infected by some kind of fucking Popup virus! Everytime I boot up my home PC, all I get is a pop up add for some fucking spyware/popup protector download thing, they want 29.95 for.
On top of that I get hit with a shit load of pop up ad's that keep multiplying...:FU:
I can delete them all until I get to this spyware one... and I can't get around it...
Have scanned w/ Norton.. it found 2 infected files and deleted them, but no help on rid of thje fucking add.
Can't use the computor.... cause the damn thing keeps adding popups everytime I try .................
At work now, and out of idea's.....

Stan I use both of these and it takes out most if not all pop up. They are both free. I was useing kazaa for downloading music and they are heavily loaded with spyware. Tries these two out and your pop up nightmares should be over. Let me know how it works out for you.

Download the free version of adaware.
Run the scan and it will seek and destroy any spyware that has attached itself to your pc. http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ |

Also, for the best free pop-up blocker go to google and download the google toolbar. The pop-up blocker comes with it and it works flawlessly.

Ad-Aware doesn't take care of all pop-ups as much as it used to. Sometimes it takes knowing how to go into the registry and remove the crap the pop-up hosers wrote into the startup HKEY sections. Happens to all of us more and more lately and keeps getting more sophisticated. Only takes one click on a lamo web site, and you're hosed (especially if you surf too much porn -- like Stan ).
