Chargeing AGM Deep cycle Batts

I have a AGM ( Sealed Glass Mat) 2700 series Battery that is REALLY Low. I have a charger that will go 2-4-or 6 amps. Is it ok to charge it on 6 amps? This batt is used for trolling.

TIA

Re: Chargeing AGM Deep cycle Batts

Check the manual for the charger you have to see if it supports charging AGM batts. Some of the cheaper chargers out there don't support AGM batts, and if used, well lets just say you won't be doing much trolling. (Except on BD of course )

I tried to look up the info on the charger. it is built by Vector "smart" Charger. Their site is pretty useless

Re: Chargeing AGM Deep cycle Batts

Nick, your charger is specifically designed for that Batt. Charge it on high (6 Amp) It will monitor itself with the onboard comp chip)
