Credit card fraud (what to do?)

Allright, I have a web page but it's not an e-commerce page and for the second time in a week I have people e-mailing me to purchase pumps. This last one is pretty ballsy.

Guy emails me wanting to by $10K worth of well pumps and have them shipped to Yuma AZ, (I play along) Give him the weights size and costs since he's having UPS pick them up.

So I ask the guy to call my office, he calls (I out) and my secretary tells me a guy called about buying pumps but his accent was so heavy she could barely understand him. Says I have his number (I don't) but check caller Id and it's a cell phone from Indiana. OK?

I email him and ask how he wants to pay and where should I ship them to and he gives me 3 Visa card numbers and the first 12 digits of the cards are the same as are the exp. dates....but get this the name on the card is Rick Murphy...WTF how many Rick Murphys can hardly speak english?

So I tell him I need the billing address for the cards and he pops up with an address in Yuma that shows up in mapquest and a phone number that's a Yuma#.

OK? so I ask for the 4 digit security code on the back of the cards and he ignores that E-mail and responds with wanting the status of his order.

I want to fuck this guy up! I tried contacting Visa but can't get through the automated BS. I've got half a mind to drive to Yuma and shade this fuckers doorway.

I know this is a scam and I hate fucking thieves..anybody got any ideas.

Re: Credit card fraud (what to do?)

Did you send them? Are the numbers good but stolen? Make a police report if you are out anything. FBI has a link on their website for this type of thing. These assfucks get hundreds of thousands of US dollars. I still have a $4000 check that was so good it took the bank it was drawn on 15 minutes of looking to determine it was fake.

If you ever get a check from someone like this, wait a lot longer than the 10 days for it to clear. Closer to 20 days and then varify with BOTH BANKS. I did not bite on mine and played the fucks to the end. I figure if they are waisting time with me, they can't bother some poor old lady and take her shit.

PM me if you want.

Re: Credit card fraud (what to do?)

No I may be blond but I'm not that stupid so I haven't shipped squat. I had another company that was e-commerce Black Rhino Performance and wrestled with credit card fraud and chargebacks before and the merchant is basically screwed even when everthing on the card check out i.e. AVS. Credit Card companies don't give a fuck and just stick the merchant with the loss. In fact any orders that went overseas I had a separate stand alone wire transfer account for them.

I sell alot of pumps and the specialized equipment to install them is over $75k who the fuck needs 10 well pumps? if they were in the biz they could get them themselves at wholesale? I'm just trying to figure out a way to pop this guy.
