Calling Out All of BD *must read*

as of 3:45 today I have 7 people confirmed for the Blood drive next week. That is sad. 11,000 members 7 blood donors? wow, I am blown away at this board. I understand that not everyone can donate, or that not everyone feels compelled to become part of something wonderful. But I am surprised at the lack of support this cause has recieved. I asked myself why would a person NOT want to give Blood? I came up with many reasons.

So I gave this an idea, what if your mother, wife, child needed blood? would you be more incline to participate? even if you could not donate for medical reasons, would you not ask others to help? co-workers, friends, other family members? What I ask I not ask for myself. this is not a selfish cause or crusade as it has become. I stand to profit none. But WE stand to profit well. Please, all bullshit aside, I beg each of you to do what you can to make this a success. and give BD a name better than a bunch of lunatics with nasty avatars. What we did with the Make a Wish Foundation was awesome. I ask for 1/2 that support. we need 30 donors to even make it worth it.

I am going to be there to bleed, and am trying to bring a few people with me. If nothing else give some blood so you can get a fucking cookie.

I would sooooo be there but out of county donors can't participate. So the best I can do is harrass you USELESS lurkers and get you to give back to the bloodydecks community.

If you donate out of San Diego county. it is a hassle to have BD get credit for it. each county is responsible for thier own stuff and it gets real complicated. Out of town guys can donate whenever they come to town.

You know some people just have their ways. I will donate blood, and that is rare right there. Some people already have an account at the blood bank for the future, and give to their account on a regular basis. I just say get the people that want to donate and leave the others alone. There may be reasons you or anyone else don't know about. I am not saying to stop trying to drum up the blood, you have posted it and it has been read...I will see you there on Friday the 7th Ron...

Thanks Mike, I can appreciate that, and some bros have come to me and stated that for various reasons they cannot or choose not to donate. please dont take my plea for assistance as a threat nor attempt at attacking anyone, I'm so not like that. I am just surprised that the response has been so dismal. so many members I would have guessed more, that was all man. see you friday. thanks
