good news bad news from the mercury genius

Well the mercury boys called today after testing my mer 200 efi for 8 weeks. They told me for 8 weeks that there was nothing wrong, ok i said why did I have to get a tow from 30 miles up the coast to get back. Well today they finally found the problem a little piece called the ECU. This little jewel is priced at $1642 but I will get 10% discount and I call this the bad news. THe good fucking news is that they finally found that there was something wrong. They were going to turn the thing back to me let me run to the 390 or better and break down to find the problem. Well at least the Kammel Driver will be ready for anything that resembles a hot spot in the next two weeks. We usually have some footballs right about now so let's go getem. :104167739 :104167739 :104167739 :104167739 :104167739 :104167739 :104167739 :104167739 :104167739 :104167739 :104167739 :104167739

Bummer on the $$"s Gerry but at least your ride will be ready for the season. Nothing worse than having a down boat when the bite begins.

I don't know anything about these guys, and as the saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is, but...

Re: good news bad news from the mercury genius

They have purchased and installed the ecu. I have at least a 90 day warranty so if I have a big fucking tow bills beyond the VA they'll pay. Like for my time at 75 bucks an hour( service charge) and friends too. Thanks for the concerns but I think I'll be ready by the 31th for the first real run offshore.
