| The call you never look forward to......
Got a tearful call this morning from my mom that my Aunt, her sister, is not likely to make it through the weekend. My Aunt, only in her early 40's has been battling cancer for over 16 months now when she was told she only had 12 months to live. She fought hard and was in remarkably good spirits through all of it, but it appears that she will succumb to the cancer in the next couple days. She's under Hospice care and they are basically just trying to make her as comfortable as possible.
I'm deeply saddened as she will be the first person to die that I have been close to. It's much easier to take knowing that she is a God loving lady that accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her words are "Don't be sad for me. I'm going home to be with the Lord!". I only hope I will go with as much grace and unshakable faith.
Your thoughts and prayers for her immediate family in North Carolina would be much appreciated. She will leave behind a devoted husband, 4 sons, a few grand kids, lot's of other family and friends who's lives she touched and were enriched by her.

Damn Stan, that's a hard situtation to deal with. I've also been there and it's a blessing when the person is no longer in pain. Our prayers are with you and your family.
