i know a shit load of people that work for The UPS Store Headquarters. Or, should I say USED to. Within a few months all them folks left. UPS is just a big, piece of shit company IMO.

These stupid fuckers have the dumest policies. It takes months on months for a department head to promote his/her best employee - they have to go through on "opt in" program where they write a letter to corporate saying why they should be promoted, then a committee - who doesn't know the person at all - makes a vote. I've seen it take 8 months to get someone from accounting clerk to sr accounting clerk. Red tape bullshit, ah, don't get me started...

But the stock has done ok.

Back to the wine deal. We just got our first case from Fed-Ex. No issues. Good, that's how it should be. It's not about the delivery, it's the wine.

Several Pinot Nior and some sparkling. Some back to '99. Good stuff so far. Saving the good bubbly for our upcoming 14 year anniversary. Good stuff.

If any of your are Vino drinkers, have you tried the Yellowtail from Sam's Club? They have it at the stores too. Outstanding stuff and cheap. Try it. One bottle between two people is like you both drinking a six pack. Remember, some of this stuff is 30 proof or more.

As a note, all I drink is reds anymore. I did have a glass of white tonight but they are few and far between. These are in the class of Cabo Wabo and Bombay Saphire. Close to JW Blue. Good stuff.

Wine is not gay. If you said you said you were waiting for your case of pre-mixed appletini's, now that would be gay! I hate it when I miss a wine delivery... because you think of those poor bottles... improperly stored and handled for another day.

I've had hate issues with UPS and Fedex. I ebay stuff and I buy a lot of crap online, so UPS and or fedex are dropping stuff off at least once a week.

I've had UPS drop off a package for me at the wrong address TWICE. It said "Delivered" but it wasn't delivered to me! The second time I found out the address and went over and picked up my package (it was about 1/4 mile away). If my address was 18 chimichanga, the guy delivered it to 18 calloway. I'm like WTF? Did he think that was close enough?

Fedex really pissed me off one time I ordered something, and then I look online and the next day I see "Out for delivery" and I'm thinking--COOL! it will get here today! Then at the end of the day I see he didn't get it delivered so it stays on the truck. So I call Fedex and they say "Well, it's not due for another 2 days. So we'll keep loading it every morning and if the driver doesn't get to it, you're outta luck for another 2 days." So I asked, "Can I come pick it up?" "NOPE! We have to attempt to deliver it first." What a crock!

I've had some issues with customer pickup at the local airport, so I filed a complaint. After explaining how I'd been fucked around for two days by a supervisor at their facility, the "investigator" had nothing to say but "They're fuckin' teamsters, whatta you gonna do?"

Unions have their place... but when the leaders are flying around in a Citation X and live in McMansions... shit is not right.

That being said.. Yellowtail to my tastes is ok. Have any of you tried the 2003 Meridian(Paso Robles) Pinot Noir. Ralphs had them on sale the other day for 2 for $14. I opened one that night and then went back and cleared out their stock. And then the '02 Trinity (Napa) Pinot Noir I would classify as the best pinot noir I have ever tasted... and I am a wino.

Anybody else have some reccomendations on good Pinots or Zins?

I have not shared this with people because I am biding my time to seek revenge, but UPS did me really dirty when I came out to San Diego in November.

My fiance bought a new 700H and avet reel for me for the trip and my birthday. I had UPS pack this rod and a few others before I left and they charged me a ton to ship them.

They made it to SD ok but when I repacked them, the same way they were shipped out, the 700H returned with a broken tip. UPS told me to basically eat a dick. Their reps were complete assholes with me both on the phone and at the stores. I was utterly shocked by the hostility they displayed to me when I simply explained what happened.

I am still so furious about this I can hardly see straight. I can assure you I will do everything in my power the rest of my life to fuck over UPS until they make this right.

Since I don't anticipate them making it right it just means I need to insure my business works with Fedex, Airborne Express, etc.

I will be happy the day UPS drops off the radar.
