Thumbs up WOW - Meet # 70!!!

Name:
Arthur Whitting aka AguaChico

My first BET, got it on 20# and a jigmaster jr.

Please explain what our User Name- Call sign means
Being from Pennsylvania I pronounce water liker "wooder". So my boys called me "wooder boy".

How did you get the call sign/user name?
Since my Boys call me "wooder boy", my call sign is aguachico.

Age: 41

T-Shirt Size: xxl

Pantyhose Size: what ever fits on my head

Website Address: No answer here

Location: Chula Vista

What was your first boat? Scupper Pro Kayak

How long have you been fishing? 36 year

What was the first fish you ever caught? Where?
My first fish was a spot, it's a little snapper type fish in the Rappahanock river in Virginia.
I was on the grandfather's crabbin/oyster boat.

Tell us something that you don’t tell to many people.
I was extremely pingeoned toed when I was young. It was so bad I would sprain my ankles all the time.
In 3rd grade I had to wear full braces on my legs for a year. They went outside of my pants with big black cables down the side of my legs, attaching to the corrective shoe. That was a rough year. I had to wear them
to bed. I got in a lot of fights that year.

What is one thing you have learned from fishing?
I'm a control freak. I want to be the Captain, deckhand and top angler all wrapped up in one. On a sporty,
I'm the guy whose always yelling orders, "your on the wrong side of the boat!" "Where's the chum-line?" stuff
like that.

Do you have any advice to future fishermen?
For San Diego style fishing:
1. Practice casting.
2. Maintain your gear better than anything else in your life.
3. Respect the Ocean
4. Only keep enough fish for a few weeks of meals.

What is YOUR favorite species to catch?
Yellowtail. They are smart, strong and beautiful - like me.

Favorite place to fish with Tips to share with other members:
Punta Abreojos. I almost bought a lot there I love it so much. Ojos is
what La Jolla was about 100 years ago. It's loaded with all the inshore species we love to catch and more.
I've fished it from the layak and panga. If the wind is blowing you can fish the estuary for hali's and grouper.
If you are a surfer, then this is a good place to catch fish and surf at the same time because of the point break.
The town is so friendly you never want to leave. They don't have that "suck the gringo dry" attitude.
They are financially well-off in terms of a typical Baja fish town.

What is most ridicules thing you have ever seen happen on a boat?
I was on the Bright and Morning Star. We were parked at night on the lee side of San Marteen island. This deckhand
and a few angelrs were screaming in delight. I looked to see one dead seagull and another flopping on the water surface.
These fucks had a wrist rocket and were shooting gulls with torpedo sinkers. I told them what I thought. I turned into a
hunting debate, but our tempers were cool. I was so pissed at that deckhand I could have killed him right there. That same
deckhand unloaded a spool of mono into the ocean on the way back home.

Do you have any kick ass trips planned?
This fall I will take my panga, that's being built right now, to Punta Abreojos. I want to take my favorite panguero "Paco"
on it and watch him catch fish like he's done for me.

Type of Gear you use:
Penn,Newell, Simano, Daiwa and Seeker rods. Over the past year I've acquired 5 Avet reels and love them. I'm not into
the "we're better than you" thing, because most reels are pretty damn nice. I'm not going to spend $400 on a 20# star drag reel
when I can get a lever drag reel that's better at $150.

Cigars?
No. My old man made me inhale an entire cigar when he caught me smoking.

Favorite Drink?
New Castle.

Boxers or briefs or thong?
Boxers

If you could take one rig on a TUNA trip what would it be?
my seeker 30# and the Avet MX 2-speed.

Have you ever dyed your hair?
Never

Do you play video games?
No.

Brand of toothpaste:
Colgate

THIS ONE NEEDS TO BE ANSWERED:Yes or No. Do you know what a WaaTooSee is?

Yes.

Do you like goats? Be honest.
Yes, covered in a brown suace.

Which BOTD (babe of the day) is your favorite?
I'm an equal opportunity molester.

With all of the fishing boards around now- I am sure you have met more fishermen than you would have without the boards.
What has been the most memorable experience in dealing with another fisherman from the internet?

A popular BDer misread my post. He thought I was ragging on him and I don't even know him. Here's a sample of his PM:

go fuck youself
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fuck you.
If Gato Gordo and I want to screw with each other that's really none of your business. Do you think we dont know eachother?
Nice ill baby Ahi in your avatar too. I would be embarrassed to put that as my avatar. Iam tired of looking at that juvenile fish.
So go fuck yourself you fat fuck. BTW: You might want to lower your fag belt becuase its way to high you tool.

He then realized that he'd made a mistake. It was pretty funny.

What is one weakness of yours?
Sweets

Wanna tell us about your family?
Boring, My folks are still married for 46 years. I have a crazy brother that's 45 and lives with them in Pennsylvania.
My grandfather was a commercial fisherman, oysters, crabs and gill netting.

Click the image to open in full size.

Do you own a dog/pet?
No.

What is your favorite type of music to listen to?
&0/80's rock and pfunk.

Do you have any other hobbies- when fishing is not happinin?
Internet.

Furthest distance ever fished off shore?
Cortez bank.

What would your "DREAM BOAT" be?
My drema boat would be the owner of a big sporty like Red Rooster or Excel. I would get on the boat and not let any of
the passengers know I was the owner and not let the crew tell them. I would hear what they were saying about the rig and
change it accordingly.

Dream destination:
New Zealand.

If you could live any life style any where – what would it be?
I would be Head Master of a Costa Rican jr college.

Do you think it is a good ideal to have more women involved with fishing? Be honest- I can't ban you
Yeah, women are more relaxed on the deck than guys. The current technology has made strenghth a non-issue.
And an average looking women looks like a godess when she has a pole in her hand, on a deck with 30 dudes.

What is the craziest fishing thing that has ever happened while being on the water?
While on the yak in LJ, I had a mac in my hand trying to see if it would swim. I was holding it and swishing it back and forthb in the water when a baby mako,
about 3 feet can and knocked it out of my hand. Imagine if it was his momma?

Has there ever been a life turning experience happen to you while being on the water? Or has something just scared the hell out of you while being on the water?
I was paddling to Scripps pier in the dark at low tide to make bait. My friend and I were jabbering away not paying attention to the direction. I felt the yak
getting snatched to the side when a 10foot+ faced wave started to break on us. We barely made it over that one when it's mommy was right behind it. We got over that and paddled outside.
My friend said those two waves crashed big time right where we would have been making bait. I relaized that we were not paying attention. When the tide is low and the swell is big, it's a
recipe for disaster going to the pier.

So would you rather be on a boat fishing at Clipperton Island wide open bite or be fed grapes by 13 Naked Hot Wild Horney Women?
Clipperton, because after a few weeks those 13 women will start to nag you about something.

Who turned you on to bloodydecks.com? How did you find us?
I think it was referenced on AMS.

If you won 5 million $$$ how would you spend it?
I would give some to my parents, then open up the Junior College in Costa Rica.

Who would be your favorite cabana girl?
Selma Hayek.

First big WSB off the yak. March 3rd 2003. That day seems to produce a lot of wsb in LJ

What do you want to catch this season?
Since I'm getting my own boat. I really want my friends and my step son to catch all the popular SoCal/Mexico species with
me at the helm and me on the gaff.

Shelly thanks for inviting me. It will be cool to share some rail with you.

Art

Nice profile dude, very cool and hope to meet you in person soon.

BTW, I don't smoke cigars for the very same reason. Smoking a whole stogie at age 12 was enough to make me turn three shades.
