Hey Jake, I just got off the phone with Jimmy. He was talking to your Dad who said all 7 thru-hulls were all located in (basically) the same place. I guess a raw water hose clamp could have failed but the bilge alarm should have gone off. Anyway, sad deal for all.

I couldn't get the video to play?
My question is..
No alarms..??
if you are taking on water...why don't you have your life jackets on or out and ready.
Why didn't they make a pre-emergency call to CG to let them know they may have a problem...

Whats this about stuck life jackets?

Lot of why didn't they I guess. Did this happen in a few mins?
I don't know the whole story so maybe I am wrong but...

When i heard the first call to the CG, the captain stated that he was taking on water and was very stern heavy. He then said that he was turning the wheel over to the second so that he could go investigate. A few more minutes went by and he said that he was taking on water and was going down. Oside harbor patrol was pretty quick to get underway and arrived just a few minutes after everyone abandoned ship. That's about all I remember.

are you sure it wasn't that huge swordy we managed to drag on board????...if chris or i was on the boat it would sink due to sheer gut weight alone?@#$..but yeah,ALARMS SHOULD HAVE BEEN RINGING!!!...as for the life jackets???? maybe they had a brochure of life jackets not real ones????everything on that boat was within arms distance and i thought it was fiberglass????shouldn't it somewhat float a little????at least slower??? i blame the taliband!!!!

Yeah, I talked to Chris. He's going, "How the fuck do you sink a fiberglass boat?" He's pretty sure she's bobbin' away out there. Be interesting to hear how this whole thing plays out. Both Chris and Jake (previous owners) are taking this pretty hard.

And Jake, you were too young to know about the "super secret 7th thru-hull".

jhull it sounds like you have a beef with bob in general.I would stop with the shit talking until some more FACTS come out .You have made some pretty off the wall statements about the crew ,even hinted its an insurance scam.I fished that boat a lot with bob and i never seen any signs of drug use. "slander"a false, malicious statement (spoken or published), especially one which is injurious to a person's reputation; the making of such a statement; to utter a slanderous statement--- Hope your not living in a glass house

Lay off with the legalese inuendo. No one's slandering...no one's accusing. They're just upset a boat they loved sank. I felt the same way when the Conquest went down.
